This Privacy Policy explains how Vouch Commerce, Inc. ("Vouch," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you visit vouch.so or any related page or subdomain operated by Vouch, including our interactive demo at demo.vouch.so (collectively, the "Site"), join our waitlist, or otherwise interact with us through the Site.
This Privacy Policy covers the public-facing Site only. The Vouch platform, application, and merchant dashboard that enable transactions between merchants and creators (collectively, the "Vouch Platform") are governed by a separate privacy policy presented at signup or installation.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide to Us
When you join our waitlist, you provide:
Full name
Company name
Email address
Phone number (optional)
If you contact us by email or through another channel, we also collect the contents of your communication and any information you choose to include.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you visit the Site, our hosting providers collect basic technical and usage information, including:
Browser type and version
Device type and operating system
Pages visited, referring URL, and time spent on pages
Approximate country or region
Date and time of visit
Our site analytics do not use cookies, do not store any identifier on your device, and cannot be used to recognize you across days or across other websites. See Section 6 for more detail on cookies.
Our hosting providers also maintain standard server logs, which record information such as IP address, browser user agent, and the pages requested. We keep these for a limited period and use them to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Site.
1.3 Information We Obtain from Third Parties
After you join the waitlist, we may supplement the information you provided with publicly available or commercially available information about you and your company, including:
Publicly available professional information, such as your job title, employer, and professional background, from sources including professional networking platforms
Information from business contact and data enrichment providers about your professional role, company, and industry
We use this information to evaluate fit for the Vouch Platform, prioritize beta access, and personalize our communications with you. We obtain it only after you have voluntarily joined the waitlist, and only in relation to your professional and business role.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
Operate and maintain the Site
Add you to our waitlist and manage waitlist communications
Send you product updates, beta invitations, and marketing communications about Vouch
Evaluate your potential fit as a Vouch Platform participant
Respond to your questions, feedback, or support requests
Understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it
Protect the security and integrity of the Site
Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service
Conduct internal business operations, including planning and reporting to investors and advisors as described in Section 4.2
3. Marketing Communications
Email. When you join the waitlist you agree to receive email from us about Vouch, including product updates, beta invitations, and marketing. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and we honor unsubscribe requests promptly.
Phone. Providing a phone number is optional. If you provide one, we may contact you by phone about Vouch and your waitlist request. You can ask us to stop contacting you by phone at any time by emailing support@vouch.so.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only as described below.
4.1 Service Providers
We share information with third parties that help us operate the Site and our waitlist. These categories of service provider include:
Website hosting and analytics providers, to host the Site and provide built-in visitor analytics
Productivity and storage providers, for email, business operations, and waitlist storage
Data enrichment providers, to supplement waitlist records with professional and company information
Email and communication providers, for sending product updates and responding to inquiries
These providers are contractually required to use your information only to provide services to us and to maintain appropriate security.
4.2 Professional Advisors and Investors
We may share aggregated or de-identified information about the composition of our waitlist, such as its size, industry mix, and qualitative summaries, with our investors, advisors, lawyers, accountants, and other professional service providers in the ordinary course of business. We do not share individual waitlist contact details with investors, and we do not share your information with investors or advisors for their own marketing purposes.
4.3 Legal and Safety
We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, the rights of others, or to investigate fraud, security issues, or violations of our Terms.
4.4 Business Transfers
If Vouch is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you, by email or by a notice on the Site, before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
5. Where Your Information Is Processed
Vouch is based in the United States, and the service providers we use may be located in the United States or in other countries. If you access the Site from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States and potentially in other jurisdictions, which may have different data protection laws than your own.
Where we transfer personal data out of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we rely on the transfer safeguards our service providers have in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
6. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use only strictly necessary cookies, which are required for the Site to load, navigate, and remain secure. These do not track you and do not require your consent under applicable law.
We do not use analytics, advertising, or marketing cookies, and we do not use any form of cross-site or cross-device tracking.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect how the Site functions. If we introduce any non-essential cookies or third-party tracking in the future, we will update this Policy and, where required by law, present a consent banner before those technologies load.
7. Data Retention
Vouch maintains your waitlist record, including your name, company, email address, and any phone number you provided, for as long as you remain on the waitlist or until you ask us to delete it. Any enrichment information we append to that record is kept for the same period as the record it is attached to. We keep marketing opt-out and unsubscribe records for up to five years after the opt-out so that we can demonstrate we honored it, and we keep email and support correspondence for up to three years from the last message in the thread. Site analytics are retained by our hosting provider in aggregate, non-identifying form, and server logs are kept for a limited period as determined by our hosting providers.
You can request deletion at any time by emailing support@vouch.so.
We may retain certain information for longer where required by law, for example to comply with tax, accounting, or record-keeping obligations, or where necessary to resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, or protect against fraud. Aggregated and de-identified information that cannot be linked back to you may be retained indefinitely.
8. Data Security
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
If we become aware of a security incident affecting your personal information, we will notify you and applicable regulators as required by law.
9. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information. We honor the rights below for everyone who contacts us, regardless of where you live.
9.1 Your Rights

Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
Delete your information
Object to or restrict certain processing
Withdraw consent where we rely on consent
Receive a copy of your information in a portable format
Unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the link in any email
To exercise any of these rights, email support@vouch.so. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. Where no specific timeframe applies, we will respond within 45 days.
If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our response. We will respond to appeals within the timeframe required by applicable law.
9.2 California Residents
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you the rights described in Section 9.1 along with the right to non-discrimination for exercising them. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf; we will require verification of the agent's authority and of your identity.
Categories of personal information collected in the past 12 months: identifiers (name, email, phone number, IP address); commercial information (company affiliation); internet or network activity (Site usage data); professional or employment-related information (job title and role, including from enrichment sources); and inferences drawn from the above regarding your potential fit for the Vouch Platform.
Categories of sources: directly from you; from your browser or device; and from data enrichment providers and publicly available professional sources.
Business purposes for collection: as described in Section 2.
Categories of recipients: as described in Section 4.
Retention: as described in Section 7.
We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by California law from Site visitors. We have not sold or shared personal information in the past 12 months, and we do not sell or share the personal information of consumers we know to be under 16.
9.3 Other U.S. State Residents
If you live in a U.S. state with a comprehensive consumer privacy law, you have rights substantially similar to those in Section 9.1, including the right to opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, and certain profiling, and the right to appeal a denial of your request. We do not engage in targeted advertising, sell personal data, or conduct profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
9.4 EEA, UK, and Swiss Residents
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the rights described in Section 9.1 under the GDPR and UK GDPR, and you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in your country of residence.
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies to our processing, our legal bases are: your consent, for marketing communications and for any optional information you provide; our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Site, evaluating waitlist fit, and running our business, balanced against your rights; performance of a contract, to provide the waitlist service you requested; and compliance with legal obligations where the law requires us to process your information.
10. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact support@vouch.so and we will delete it.
11. Third Party Links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites, services, or platforms, including Shopify and social media platforms. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third-party site you visit.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. If we make material changes, we will provide additional notice where appropriate, such as an email to waitlist subscribers or a notice on the Site.
